As an experienced drummer, percussionist, keyboard player, Matt has been an in demand drummer since his first paid gig aged 16 throwing himself into the live circuit playing punk, rock and metal. He then went on to Music College where he was exposed to other styles of music from legendary tutors, opening his eyes to the world of Latin, Jazz, Funk and other styles.

Having played with countless groups, solo artists, theatre engagements, radio jingles, metal/rock bands, jazz ensembles and function bands Matt joined funk/soul/rock band Helium Soul who achieved great acclaim from their debut album, Mass of Four. This achieved airplay world wide and extensively on BBC RADIO 2 and BBC RADIO 6. Leaving them, Matt has since worked as a freelance drummer, as well as running his own drum recording facility (Click HERE for details).

This has included work all over the world from clubs, universities, arena’s, festivals, theatres (including London Palladium, Her Majesty’s Theatre and Theatre Royal-Drury lane), cruise ships and countless recording sessions. Bands he has been in cover a wide range of styles from metal and hard rock to pop, funk, folk, Latin and jazz.

He also successfully wrote, recorded and produced a drum loop sample album and subsequently sold the copyright to Loopasonic TM (The Sonica Group) and appeared in the 2007 SONY WALKMAN advert.
