This video drum lesson shows a quirky little beat which you might call a double bass drum cheat beat. This uses one foot and one hand to play continuous 16th notes, creating a dugga dugga style sound that is often played on two bass drums.

But it also takes it a step further with a polyrhythmic element when the right hand brings in a dotted 8th note ride pattern.

Finally the video shows how you can move the left hand around the kit to add even more interest.

This is just a fun, creative video drum lesson with the aim of giving you some new ideas and approaches to composing drum patterns, that you will hopefully learn and then expand on to create your own ideas.
